Mastering Solar Power
Event Details

Overview

A comprehensive, up-to-date and business-focused roadmap to success in delivering solar power growth, today and tomorrow

Attendees will gain a good understanding of the key factors from an integrated, multidisciplinary and commercial viewpoint, including: target market analysis, economic competitiveness, channels-to-market, financing influences and risk, project development processes, best practices and emerging technologies.

The course schedule includes illustration of key project development considerations, including energy yield, financial and other simple calculations, along with the chance to discuss key planning and market environment considerations.

In keeping with the business-focused theme of the course, these illustrative exercises are designed to provide time-efficient clarification of the key course takeaways, aimed at commercially-focused business developers and investors. They are therefore accessible to non-experts, not designed to replicate the complex or in-depth detailed planning undertaken - over much longer periods! - by engineers and technical teams.

NextGen SCADA Global 2021 Virtual Conference 24 – 25 March 2021
Event Details

NextGen SCADA Global 2021

Virtual Conference

24 – 25 March 2021

Across the globe utilities are looking to advance their grid management and control techniques. The critical infrastructure that coordinates the energy system, SCADA, EMS and DMS, must deliver real-time intelligent control and supervision.

Key to this evolution is the integration of the different systems and data available in the smart grid. SCADA GIS, EAM, OMS, FLISR and WAMPAC systems all contain valuable data which can enhance grid management. This conference brings together leading utilities to share their integration experiences.

These integrations can be done on a case by case basis delivering immediate results; however, most utilities are also considering a long-term migration to an ADMS to integrate all existing real-time systems and fully-automate portions of grid operations. Utilities will share the drivers for and their implementation of ADMS.

This programme consists of 24 x case-studies, 8 x technology innovation presentations, 8 x live Q&A panel sessions, a 90-minute roundtable discussion session, and more. There is no better place to gather the latest SCADA/EMS/DMS implementation, integration, and optimisation information.

Energy Transition and Decarbonisation Forum
Event Details

Energy Transition and Decarbonisation Forum

25-26 March 2021

Virtual Summit

The world has made the transition from one major form of energy to another several times – from animal power and biomass to burning coal, and then to the increasing use of oil and gas. The replacement of those fuels with renewables marks the next historic shift.

The EU has committed to a zero-carbon economy and a clean energy transition by 2050.

However, natural gas is still a fundamental for the EU energy sector, as it provides benefits which can’t currently be provided by renewable electricity.

How can we open the door to a decarbonised future? Electrification has to be the key development to meet the Decabonisation targets. The energy transition will be enabled by information technology, smart technology, policy frameworks and market instruments.

Industrial companies must prepare for decabonisation by conducting a detailed review of all their capacities, resources, facilities and by looking at the availability of low-cost electricity, hydrogen, biomass, and carbon-storage capacity.

Our attendees will learn how to reduce fossil fuel consumption worldwide by improving end-use efficiency, conversion efficiency and by introducing renewable resources. How sector coupling can improve the efficiency and flexibility of the energy system, its reliability and adequacy as well as reduce the costs of decabonisation. Why Power-to-X is the carbon-neutral energy storage and sector coupling technology of the future.

Our speakers will reveal the key challenges and updates on the energy transition opportunities while networking with experts in the field.

Mastering Renewable Power
Event Details

Overview

In increasing parts of the world, renewable power sources – particularly solar and wind – are now the cheapest way to generate electricity. This, combined with being crucial mechanisms by which to lower the carbon emissions of energy systems, means they are also the fastest growing supply of new power generating capacity.

This course is designed for those seeking a comprehensive understanding of renewable power, from its market value to the processes of project and investment case development, and risk assessment. You will have a clearly explained review of renewable power trends and project development essentials; including key stages, processes, contracts and risk mitigation approaches. As a commercially-focused person, you need to have these issues discussed within a business case and investment context, illustrated by examples from around the world. You will build a knowledge base and skillset that is applicable to power projects of multiple types, so that it remains useful wherever

your career next takes you.
