DSI’s 2nd Annual Microgrids & Energy Resilience Summit will convene senior leaders from the Department of War, the Services, federal agencies, and the energy industry to examine how the deployment of advanced microgrid systems is reinforcing energy security, reliability, and mission effectiveness across military installations. As energy threats and operational demands grow more complex, the 2025 Summit will spotlight efforts to implement scalable, cyber-secure microgrids that reduce vulnerabilities, enable continuous operations in contested or disrupted environments, and enhance energy assurance for both domestic bases and forward-operating locations.


This year’s Summit will feature discussions on leading microgrid deployments across the Services, lessons learned from installations such as MCAS Miramar and White Sands Missile Range, and the evolving role of microgrids in global and expeditionary settings. Key sessions will also highlight the integration of advanced wireless technologies to improve system responsiveness, as well as efforts to strengthen cybersecurity for operational technology systems supporting microgrids.
